After leaving Siracusa by train till Giarre, shortly North of Catania, I continue into the direction of Messina and then Milazzo where I arrive in the late afternoon.
At about the north-eastern tip of Sicily I succeed in passing by the historical overhead lines pole known as "
Pilone di Torre Faro", authentic example of industrial archeology, built between 1948 and 1956, 225 meters high, crucial point in the passage of electricity at 220kV between Italy mainland and Sicily.
And now, next destination: Vulcano Island, ISOLE EOLIE
